“The guest house was an easy, and quite scenic, 45 minute drive from the Salzburg airport. Pulling through the small town and back to the inn, which sits on its own private snow-melt lake, was like pulling into a post card. The alps encompass the lake with the inn at one end. There is a trail that follows the border of the lake as well as a cable car directly behind the inn that allows for easy access to the upper trails for hiking. The inclusive breakfast is wonderful. The staff, from start to finish were so accommodating and cordial. There is access to their small restaurant all day long, which is wonderful. The town of Halstatt sits 15 minutes away. All in all, we would highly recommend this inn.”

“Everything about this spot is awesome. Despite us coming to this hotel in not the best moods because our luggages had been lost, Eugenie (staff of Transylvania Villa and Spa) put us in great moods. He was beyond hospitable. He was waiting to help us with parking and showed us our rooms. When we got to our room, we realized that Eugenie had already been in contact with our airlines and had arranged our bags in our room for us! The pictures online do not do this place justice. It is beautiful and done with the highest quality. We had breathtaking views of the mountains from two different huge side balconies (although it was rainy and cloudy). The spa also has a free hot tub for guests, which was the perfect was to relax. Wifi was great. The room was very clean, and very comfortable. Eugenie helped make our stay here, we already miss this hotel and Austria very much! Thank you (from the Canadians)!”

“Frau Fasl was so friendly - I enjoyed practising my rudimentary German and she was always gracious. The two balconies are great, the rooms, kitchen and bathroom are furnished with absolutely everything you need. The place is quiet yet it is easy to get on the road for connections to the Lakes and a 50-max. 60 minute drive to Salzburg airport. The locals were very friendly, and Gosau has some shops and restaurants to start you off, and even a tourist information building. Early June was a good time to visit as the mountain flowers were still in bloom.”
