“We received a lovely warm welcome from our host after a long journey with small children. We checked in later in the day and had the pleasant surprise of a delicious dinner cooking in the oven which the host had made which we really enjoyed. The house and its grounds were wonderful. Very clean and contained everything we needed. A cot and high chair were provided and the garden had a mini playground for the children with a slide and playhouse which kept the children entertained. There were lots of different fruit trees in the garden including delicious figs which we enjoyed. The property had a secure gate which was a bonus with children running around and made for a very relaxing environment. About 500m down the road was a lovely local beach with a restaurant, and about 10-15 minutes drive away was another great beach called Gardenos which had sun beds and huts for hire for a good price and was a very clean calm uncrowded beach which was quite shallow for the first 50 metres making it easy to swim in. There are plenty of other beaches around but this one ticked all the boxes for us. In Lefkimmi we found some fantastic local places to eat (our favorite was a restaurant called ΟΔΟΣ ΡΙΓΓΛΑΔΩΝ ΛΑΔΟΚΟΛΛΑ) . Lefkimmi had a nice authentic Corfu atmosphere and was not crowded by tourists. The local bakery was fantastic. The local fishmonger was very friendly. We also went to a great fish restaurant in Boukari.”
