#1 was the staff . Their positiveness at handeling all of our requests was reassuring & kind!
We were upgraded to a room with 2 baths & an upstairs bedroom loft which was not a problem for us.
As we arrived at night at first I thought the hotel was dark but in the morning we were treated to a very cheerful breakfast room that had a view of the outside pool & patio dining area. It also had a small but inviting bar area.
The breakfast buffet had all you could ask for and more!
The location was superb for our needs. We were right across the Santa Maria Novella Cathedral & square and that night there were food vendors and craft & food booths. After some food and a beer we walked just over half a mile to see the Duomo lit up at night. It was awesome. We got our first gelato that night. From there we walked around the city and were treated to many beautiful sights before returning to the hotel.
Another big plus for us was the convenient location to the train station as we left for Rome late the next afternoon. (We were able to walk there)
We took a train in from Tuscany & went back to the hotel for our 6:30 am flight out the next day. They even arranged for a 4:15 am taxi for us!
As a side note, my friends & I drove into Florence and while we were not staying that night the hotel helped with parking for our car with the garage that they work with.
Forgot to mention the also have a restaurant attached.
