I loved everything about my stay at the Rio World Connection hostel: The staff and especially the owner Marcos is super welcoming and makes sure you are having the best time while in Rio. He knows the city inside out and will give you tips on where to go and what to do - or even take you there personally. The hostel itself is just gorgeous (actually it's the most beautiful hostel I have ever stayed at). It is a beautiful old villa with a fantastic view of Rios bay and a refreshing pool. Trust me, there's nothing better than jumping into the pool after a hot day of sightseeing and to socialize with other backpackers. If you are looking for a beautiful, central place to stay where you can easily meet other backpackers and love a good pool party, this is definitely the best place to stay in Rio!

The customer service was SUPERB! Christina was amazing! We are Americans and don’t speak a lick of Portuguese and although her English wasn’t strong either, (but it’s 2023 and phones and google exist) so that wasn’t a problem AT ALL. She made sure we comfortable and had fun. She checked on us regularly. The location is safe and is in walking distance of great food, bars and shopping. I kinda didn’t want to do a review because I wanted to keep this hidden gem to myself, but Chris deserves all the raving reviews she can get. Thank you so much for making our Rio experience so amazing!

Everything was perfect, the view is amazing, the room is spacious and super clean and the host is very kind and supportive. It is also possible to do a self check in, which is very convenient. I have been to Rio several times and this was probably the best stay that I had there. Would definitely repeat.

We loved the attention to detail at this hotel. From the decor, the view, the “honor bar”, the whole place is just fabulous. The breakfast was the best during our whole 2 week trip in Brazil. The staff turned into friends and we felt right at home. They gave great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. The bed was comfortable and spacious, we loved our bathroom and we slept great every night!

What a slice of heaven in a great neighborhood! The owner was very accommodating and the atmosphere matched the area. Great breakfast out in the verandah nearby the pool. If you are lucky you might even hear a little of the professional musician practicing the piano! Highly recommended. Enjoy!

All meals, incl.breakfast, were very good, compliments to the chef! The staff were welcoming, friendly, and efficient, especially Oriana and Pablo. The best of them all was Gabriel : when my husband left his phone on the back seat of the cab, Gabriel offered to help, taking the trouble to contact both the taxi company and the restaurant we were driven from, found the cab driver, and we got the phone delivered back to the hotel!! One thousand THANKS to Gabriel from Elizabeth and Eugene! This is what I would call hospitality.
