This is by far the best hotel in the area. The cost-value ratio is incredible. The hotel is located near the May 4th Square which is basically the center of the city. The yellow sea and a sandy beach is 15 minutes walking distance. The rooms are big, clean and equipped with everything you may need. They also have english language guidelines inside the rooms which is pretty unusual even in 5 star hotels on China. Wifi connection is also stable and fast. It is the go to hotel in Qingdao for sure. You can get a 5 star experience even if you are on a budget. The staff is also the kindest.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted me with resolving an issue with a bank ATM, calling the bank for me and arranging matters, and keeping me up to date. They also helped me on various other occasions to find shops, manage public transport etc. The beds are comfortable (not always a given in China). The location is excellent, right next to metro line 2 and close to a number of shops and restaurants. Sockets take EU plugs, and there were also USB ports for charging. The airco was welcome in the 30-degree weather. The hotel has a free laundry service which came in handy, with short wash and dry cycles so you can do a quick wash. Breakfast was good, with a variety of choices both Western and Chinese.

Located in the bustling area where shopping malls and office buildings are all around, The Westin Qingdao is only few steps from Wusi Square Subway Station (Line 2&3).

Great location, lovely entrance and easy to get a taxi, 30 minutes at non-peak time to get to Qingdao station. Really early in the morning - it took only 16 minutes! Helpful staff, reception and waiters,- spoke English - lucky me! Spacious room with comfortable, big bed, good bathroom, room service menu mixture of Chinese and Western. I had a bit of both - tasty. A very pleasant stay.
