I was very impressed with Hotel Motel One - probably the Motel in the name threw me off - but they ran a very tight ship for such a huge hotel (I think 800+ rooms). The reception staff was most helpful, check-in and check-out were seamless, and they even helped us with a bottle opener when we needed one. The bathroom was big and clean and there were no problems with the wi-fi. Plus, a huge lounge/bar area on the ground floor filled with travellers enjoying themselves - that was a nice sight. Overall I highly recommend it.

Everything, whatever one is looking for, it has all the traits. Facilities, Ambience, Approach, Location, Parking, Breakfast.....we didn't try lunch or dinner as we were there only for one night. Very impressive facilities, view of Cathedral from glass lift was nice. Shopping area, old Town, Cathedral, bars cafes everything next door. I would not look for any other hotel, if we return to Cologne again. Parking though paid separately, is connected to hotel lift, so convenient & safe. It may be bit expensive but it's worth every single penny. Nice breakfast.

Exceptionally clean rooms. Beds were very comfortable. Felt safe and close walking to downtown (15-20 min) and metro stops (8-10 min) and bus to downtown is right outside. The roof top patio was a nice surprise to have a drink and watch the boats on the Rhine.

U bahn is available right in front of the hotel with connections to hauptbahnof and 2 stops away from lanxess or messe. Superb apartment style suite with a huge balcony. Everything was just perfect.
