Great location for access to the main transport terminal (HBF) for both transport and shopping was very convenient. No need for a taxi on arrival or departure, just a short walk. Whilst it is on a busy road, traffic slows to a very low level in the evening and we did not lose any sleep overnight from it. The host was the most attentive to ensuring the quality of our stay so far in our nearly 3 months travelling and gave a great rundown on the property and immediate location on arrival. Size and fit out were fantastic making this a good value and comfortable property to stay at, which we would use again when in Essen.

Breakfast was very good, plenty quantity. Very interesting and unusual little hotel. Loved the atmosphere, definitely would come back if travelling to the area. Staff are very friendly and helpful, we were arriving after checking hours, but they stayed to wait for us very till very late.

Key handling was easy. The apartment was very big and very well equipped. Towels in multiple sizes in three colors, surprise candy, tea, mineral water, toothbrush etc. It was clean an quiet.

Very spacious apartment, lovingly decorated, well equipped, super clean, comfy bed, quiet house. Communication with host easy, response to my queries within minutes. Highlight: I had booked apartment for sole occupancy (family occasion in Oberhausen), but when heavy snow prevented one of my brothers from travelling home, my hosts didn't hesitate to allow him to stay as well! Great people!

Access was easy with a key safe outside where the code was sent on the day. This is a great location for Messe Essen, includes a 10-15 walk through the Gruga Park to get there and back :-) Very well equipped kitchen. Lovely roof terrace!
