Motel One Edinburgh-Princes 3 stars

Hotel in New Town, Edinburgh

Motel One Edinburgh-Princes is set in the heart of Princes Street and less than 5 minutes’ walk from Edinburgh Waverley Station. This contemporary hotel features a bar and a 24-hour front desk. I loved this place. It was blessedly warm which was very welcome, even their TV was showing fire (first time I see a use for a TV in a hotel room) which made it feel even cozier. The staff were absolutely lovely. Wifi was good. The locatoin is perfect, right in front of Waverly station ( the main train station in Edinburgh). The Waverly mall is right beside the train station & has an Amazon Hub if, like me, you needed to order something. This is also where the "Ghost Bus" tour meets. If you like to eat healthy it is very close to Holy Cow restaurant (Vegan Food) & Real Food ( a little shop with lots of healthy goodies). Close to a Tesco Express ( for SIM card) Close to a number of stores. Only about a 10-15 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle depending on traffic & how fast you walk.

The Scotsman Hotel 4 stars

Hotel in Old Town, Edinburgh

Overlooking Carlton Hill, Princes Street Gardens and Waverley Station, the 4-star Scotsman Hotel was originally built in 1905. This majestic, listed building was once The Scotsman newspaper. The room was luxurious, clean and comfortable. The concierges were really helpful and the accessibility to the train station was perfect. The hotel is also within easy walking distance from the bus station and just off the Royal Mile so a great location!

The Balmoral Hotel 5 stars

Hotel in Old Town, Edinburgh

Located on Princes Street, The Balmoral has a Michelin-starred restaurant, a pool and a gym. Waverley Station and Edinburgh's main shopping area are within 5 minutes' walk. Loved the pool. The drinking chocolate. The 100 USD credit paid for my amazing dinner at the restaurant and most of my breakfast.

Market Street hotel 4 stars

Hotel in Old Town, Edinburgh

Located in the centre of Edinburgh, just a few minutes’ walk from the Royal Mile and 650 yards of The Real Mary King's Close, Market Street forms part of Edinburgh’s historic skyline. We were blown away by the check in experience, the staff were awesome, the view from reception and the Champagne lounge, and the little extras we received. This hotel was a cut above.

The Witchery by the Castle 5 stars

Hotel in Old Town, Edinburgh

The Witchery by the Castle offers a range of opulent suites in Edinburgh, each one unique with its own special features. We stayed at the Heriot Suite for our 10th anniversary and it was magical! Nice views from the old windows, huge comfortable bed, right next to the Edinburgh Castle, mind blowing decor and atmosphere. For the first hour we were just like giggly children in a royal fairytale. I think it will be very hard to top this hotel experience! Breakfast was delivered outside our door in a hamper per our request to not be disturbed. Took advantage of the bathtub twice during our one night stay, no regrets :) After check out we were able to leave our luggage in the hotel for the rest of the afternoon without extra charge.
