Hotels in Sadar Bazaar, Agra

Loved loved loved the colourful flare and personality of the property. It’s as if the property owner (who we did not meet) traveled around the world — Provence, Mexico, etc — and picked up the most colorful things possible and then put them in his sprawling house and in his multiple patios and welcoming decks. The place is extremely cheerful and CLEAN. Nothing smells or seems unclean. Since I could not understand the layout from the photos online, I ended up booking three units for my family of 6. It turned out to be great but more space than we needed. The upstairs 4 person family apartment has a full room with two twin beds, a kitchen with a water purifier attached to the sink and a burner and coffee maker and other equipment we did not use, a bathroom with its own hot water heater and shower, and another master bedroom with a large bed. It comfortably sleeps four people - parents and two kids. The other four person bedroom is just a single bedroom with a bathroom that you go through a public hall to go to the bathroom. It has two big beds and one twin size beds. It also can fit four (or maybe even five) people, but it’s only one room. The three person room has a big bed and a twin and can easily for three people. It is not en suite but has the bathroom that you share with the 4-person room. All of the spaces are really beautiful and great, and there are multiple roof decks, potted plants all over, a welcoming courtyard with plants and flowers, and at least two indoor areas with seats. Breakfast is simple (toast, eggs, prata, crepe-like pancakes, etc). Coral House is very close (walking distance along a safe pedestrian walkway) to the East Gate of the Taj Mahal. Our guide met us at the Coral House to bring us but we could have done it by ourselves with minimal guidance. It’s almost as close as the Oberoi, where we have stayed before, at around 1/10th (or less) of the price!

The staff is so friendly and accommodating! The rooms are comfy and decorative. The food is amazing and the location is perfect.

A very lovely place to stay. an excellent location a short walking distance to the free Taj Mahal shuttle to East gate. A really personal service provided…you can see dinner and breakfast being prepared in the open kitchen. The best Chai freshly made. very helpful staff. A distant view of the Taj Mahal from the rooftop. Rooms and bathrooms are excellent, very clean…and plenty of toilet roll supplied!! (this isn’t always the case in India!).

The room is pretty large and it was clean! Compare to other hotels in India I think this place maintains very good cleaning 👍 as I notice many of hotels in India barely focus on small corner of clean, but max’s place did good job!

Amazingly friendly and attentive staff; they really looked after us…and let’s just say the location is pretty special as well!

The home stay is amazing! It’s so beautiful, every detail has been thought about here. The garden is incredible, I loved how the bed was a real mattress and the duvet cover on the bed was thick so it kept us warm (it was also a very beautiful design!) we had dinner in the evening which was so tasty, the staff were extremely helpful and great cooks! You know you’ve found a good place when the moment you arrive, you can already feel the excitement from the receptionist all the way to the owners, genuinely happy to host you. Everything here felt close to perfection. It’s relatively new, but nothing was compromised. Our high rating isn’t just because it’s new and therefore clean; you can truly feel that they built this place with heart, aiming to give future travelers in Agra the best comfort possible. The staff were amazing! Every corner looks like it came straight out of Pinterest, and the room is incredibly spacious with its own balcony. The shower feels so homey, the breakfast is to die for, and its proximity to the Taj Mahal is ideal. It’s also close to great cafés for a good cappuccino. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down and unwind after a long, tiring day. You can never go wrong with this place!

Good location, very friendly and helpful staff, makes you feel like home!

We stayed in one of the best places we’ve been to in India, especially at this price. The family who hosted us was incredibly kind and welcoming. The room was super clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was a unique experience with typical Indian dishes — get ready to taste authentic food! They even prepared dinner for us, and we dined together, which gave us a wonderful opportunity to learn more about their culture. The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from the Taj Mahal, which is perfect as it’s best to visit the monument in the morning. While it’s a bit far from the center and the Fort, we preferred being closer to the Taj. We arranged a Tuk-Tuk at the door for 400 INR to explore the city for the whole day — definitely worth it!
