The rooms were well-appointed, large and comfortable. The hotel staff was very helpful. We stayed for four nights and the location could not be beat! It was walking distance to many of the attractions in Kyoto (it was our first trip here), and convenient to both the trains and buses to get to attractions further away. The lounge area near the front desk was a great spot to start the day with a coffee and enjoy the tranquil setting.

Our room was at the 3F of the annex with a washing machine. Very spacious for our family of 4 (room is for 6 pax). Situated in a quiet neighborhood close to many attractions. Train station is around 0.5km away, may be difficult to walk (esp with luggages) if raining but if it isn't, it is ok.

The location is great, around 10 minutes walk from the market and bus/metro stations. The stuff has excellent english and very helpful. The room was small but it was enough for us. There are coin laundry and drier which are useful. The hostel looks great, new.
