I am very glad that I booked this hostel for my stay. At first I was scared when I looked at the bad reviews. Yes it is a building that needs some renovation but it’s nothing absurd. I rarely write reviews like this one but I felt like I had to. The hostel is clean, there is no bad smell in the dorms like the reviews say. It’s good that it has some outdoors activities. I highly recommend renting a bike and doing a hike or a tour around the lake. The staff was very helpful with me - by advising the best buses I should take to my next destination. The room that I stayed in had an awesome view of the lake. Breakfast is simple but it’s good for the price. The restaurant they have serve good food for dinner at a fair price.

The hotel was amazing! It was fully equipped and was really beautiful! The breakfast was great, staff super polite and the location was exceptional, very close to lake Bohinj and wonderful nature! We only stayed for 2 days but will definitely go back there!!

Spectacular views from the room. The room itself is spacious and beautifully decorated. Comfortable bed, soft pillows. Robe and funny slippers provided. It is necessary to mention the interior of the hotel - exceptional attention to details, very tastefully and qualitatively done. The spa is not big but has everything you need - several saunas, a superb swimming pool with a view of the mountains. We had two dinners at the restaurant - the food was delicious, breakfast was also tasty, with enough variety to choose from. Will reccomend this hotel to everybody travelling to Slovenia 👍

The location was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We stayed in a brand-new room for two, featuring a stunning mountain view. We had a wonderful stay here. The location is just perfect with lots of hiking trails in nature close by, a 10 min walk from the beautiful lake and a 5 min drive to the ski slopes. The food at the hotel is amazing and the staff (and the owner) are very kind and helpful. The sauna in the room is a big plus!

Loved the quaint little area/town out of the busy hubbub of touristy places. It was very welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful and the accommodations were great!

Perfect destination for hiking and nature. We've visited a bit out of season but everything was comfy and clean, hosts are very nice people and explained in detail different trails and places we could visit. There's a free parking on site, dishwasher and various kitchen utensils. We've traveled by car, in general Ukanc is quite a remote village so to do groceries you'd probably need some sort of transportation, you can rent bikes in the hotel (at least I saw some signs about that) and we've also seen a bus running to and from Ukanc but make sure to check the schedule if you need it. Lake is a short 5 minutes walk away.

Home away from home is located in Bohinj, just a 4-minute walk from Aquapark & Wellness Bohinj and 12 miles from The Bled Island.

The host was warm and welcoming, brought us a welcome snack and drink. The apartment was very homey and clean with everything you need for a stay, and it is barely 10 min drive to Lake Bohinj. It's quiet and great for staying in the area. There's free parking right in front of the house too. Two supermarkets (Spar and Mercator) are very close by.
