The pools were amazing. They have 5 different pools and mango and coconut were the best ones. Banana is nice and quiet. All of them had a pool car. Rooms were big, balconies were big. Bathroom had a bath and a shower and it was clean. Quiet area. Staff is good as well.

We loved everything, it was elegant, magical and top notched at all levels: our room was immaculate, the beds were super comfortable, food was exquisite, the pools amazing, the beach was great ( we received complimentary snorkeling equipment) the staff were always smiling and ready to help. The lady Phew at the concierge was brilliant and super professional taking care of the organisation of the «  Siam Niramit » exotic and perfect Thai show for us with attention to our transfer and reservation. I am very grateful for the superb service we received from her and all the lovely staff at the Merlin Marriott. I promise myself to come back to this paradise!

This is the kind of place you see in postcards or Instagram travel posts. Pansea Beach where the hotel is located is an exclusive natural beauty. You’ll swim and jump over the high waves , laze by the beach on sunny days and take endless photos. It’s that beautiful. The resort is built on a hill so expect to climb stairs up and down to the beach. Be sure to at least book the rooms at lobby level otherwise it will be really exhausting if you’re top of the hill. The upside of these hill rooms is the nice views and the feel that you’re living in a forest / jungle with beach views. The rooms are super sized and designed to give you all the space you need to relax , change , shower. They have nice balconies with sun-beds as well. Breakfast and dining generally was a delight. Huge variety and a team that will make you feel welcome. Now a special call to Gig in reception, she was an absolute Angel. It was a our wedding anniversary and she went out of her way to make arrangements and bookings for us all week, always with a smile and a genuine interest and Excellent recommendations by the way. Finally the team at the boat house Tangia and Run were always there looking after us on days of rough weather (and you will get those days in Aug) but never spoilt our trip Overall I highly recommend The Surin
