The service at the Queen Victoria is exceptional. I am not saying this lightly since I have had the privilege to stay at hotels all over the world. The staff are just superb, at breakfast, the bar, the front desk. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they are organized, friendly beyond belief and huge fun. The sun shines even brighter when you enter the breakfast area and you’re greeted by ‘Carol’! It is rare to see someone so devoted to her guests and so skilled in her job! A true gem!

I can't say enough great things about The Silo. I had read all the rave reviews about the architecture, the service, the rooftop pool/bar before booking my stay... the last night of a milestone mother/daughter birthday trip. It was a splurge, but it was a special occasion so I booked us the Duplex Suite. I had noted the birthdays on my reservation and when we arrived we were given such a warm welcome by the staff and they said they had a birthday surprise for us (we thought it was early check in since we arrived a few hours early). We were given a tour of the hotel's common spaces (all perfectly decorated with curated pieces and local art) along with a glass of champagne but weren't prepared for our last surprise when we were walked down the hall and escorted to our upgraded room... the Royal Suite. This was easily the most luxurious of accommodations we had ever stayed in. Two beautiful rooms, two beautiful bathrooms, the interior design details, a bottle of champagne chilling and a birthday treat -- every detail was perfect. Management went above and beyond throughout our entire stay and truly made the last day of our birthday trip so special and unforgettable. If you find yourself in Cape Town don't pass up the opportunity to stay at The Silo.

Super location, super view. Rooms are very spacious. Great Breakfast. Great staff especially Chris who arranged for us two adjacent rooms despite that the hotel was fully booked. boutiques and shops in the Ground floor add to the great vibe of the hotel.
