Joe and Joanne were exceptional hosts! They cooked us an outstanding dinner. The property was in the middle of nowhere and feeling like we were on top of the world all at the same time! The sunset and the stars were spectacular.

We loved our brief one night stay at Amazilia's Guest House. It's actually a newer home that has been divided into apartments with a communal kitchen/dining area. We also loved the pool and covered area by the pool which is a lovely place to picnic. It's in a very quiet location just outside of Liberia and the property is very well maintained. Unfortunately, we did not have time for breakfast as we had to catch our flight. Communication with the owner was great.

Rio Perdido is located just a 45-minute drive from Daniel Oduber International Airport and features 11 mi of on-site hiking trails and a thermal river with hot-spring pools.

We needed to stay one night in a hotel not too far from the Liberia airport. This hotel had everything we needed; from a really nice staff, very helpful with our requests for our baby, to clean and comfortable rooms, and an amazing breakfast, it was perfect for the price.

Emanuel at the front desk was excellent. Very sincere and great at his job of letting us know what was available and making us feel at home. The room was clean, shower was nice and the breakfast was very good a filling.

Hotel Liberia was such a pleasant surprise! Our flight out of CR was delayed for 24hours, leaving us scrambling to find accommodations for one night. We knew we wouldn’t be there long so we didn’t need a lot of amenities. We wanted cheap and close to the airport. What we got was so much more! It was undoubtedly the best customer service I’ve ever experienced! Edwin went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. He was extremely accommodating. The rooms are not fancy but charming, quaint, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The courtyard is a little bit of paradise!

Such a nice place and nice people! Owners Pierre and his wife were very nice, Pierre a real gentleman. Most of our interactions were with the property managers, Francisco and Veronica. What can we say?! So warm and so hospitable, so helpful and innumerable laughs with Francisco. We didn't have a car, so Francisco picked us up from and dropped us at Liberia; also provided us with transportation to Rincon de la Vieja NP for 3 days. Francisco was very reliable, always on time and the costs were very reasonable. Large, tasty breakfast (eggs, gallo pinto, sausage and toast) with a pitcher of great fresh mixed fruit juice! Grounds and surroundings were a mix of nice gardens and natural forest - so many Neotropical birds! We definitely hope to be back someday!
