Amazing place. Old feel but in a good sense. Like some place out of a fairytale. The location is gorgeous, the place feels like some old inn out of a storybook. The kids had an amazing time in the yard and playing hide and seek in the house. Everything was excellent, even the beer at the bar was great.

Gentlemen running the hotel was always easy to access. Was not able to be there when checking in but made sure we had code to get in front door and had all keys prepare to access room. Pleasant person super English.

Check-in and check-out were dealt with easily. You can check in late in the evening if you want to. You can also pay for the stay in advance and give them the necessary personal information upfront online, which is quite convenient. Český Brod itself is a small city, but it's max a 10 min walk to the train station and you get a train ticket to Prague for €3. It's a 40 minute ride and trains go every 30 minutes. Get yourself the IDOS app to plan the trains/buses/trams you want to take, public transport is very affordable in the larger Prague area. Keep in mind, if you want to pay in cash or specifically get your ticket while being on the train already, you will have to pay in Czech Crowns.
