You can take a 20 minute walk to the train station or there is a small ferry that crosses the river not far from the apartment to catch the train. Access to beautiful hikes directly from town or via short bus rides are super convenient.

The property is right next to a very large park, which was fantastic because we brought our puppy with us! The breakfast fantastic and we also ate dinner in the restaurant attached to the hotel one night and it was also very very good! The staff were very helpful and sweet.

Everything. The room was excellent. Large, bright and very well appointed. The washroom was stellar. Breakfast was fabulous. Entrance to the thermals was a very nice bonus. The hotel spa was excellent.

A great place to rest while hiking the Malerweg - the most affordable I could find and one of the only places that allows one night stays, which is necessary for thru-hikers. Robin is very kind and the breakfast was a whole spread!

This guest house is located in the Schmilka district of Bad Schandau, overlooking the River Elbe. Haus Bergfriede has a sun terrace and barbecue facilities.

This is right on the Malerweg and is one of the only reasonably priced places in the village. Host Robin is a delight and makes you feel welcome and speaks English for those of us who know nothing else!
