Wanted simple and low-key, and that’s what I found. The dorm-style accommodation is my preference because the people staying are of similar persuasion: desiring simple, clean, comfortable, and casual space, with no formality or set schedules. Much like university dorm life: walking the hall in pajamas, going to breakfast in slippers. The showers and toilets were kept immaculate. Laundry, packed lunches, notices, were punctually delivered. I was on first-name hello with the staff from check-in to check-out. It was pleasant to sit in the cafeteria and chat with local working people: farmers, fishermen, construction workers, and get the skinny on day-to-day life. Lookout Lodge is adjacent the only service station in town and the only ATM in town: a supper plus. And, Rose’s Cafe.”, also adjacent, is a very pleasant space for morning coffee and cake.

Great location, excellent staff and best restaurant in town!

We were upgraded immediately without any prior notice. Manager and all the staff at Malvina & restaurant are top notch! Beyond friendly and go out of their way to make sure to attend to customer. Wifi is a bit slow but that is expected being so remote in this world. Would stay again without question.
