The apartment is located 5 minutes walk to the forest, which is a blessing for hikers and/or nature lovers. It was spotless and warm. The bedroom was cozy. The bed and pillows super comfortable. The thick winter blanket kept me warm at night, so no need to use the heater. The multi-functional kitchen/dinning room/living room was well-organized and had a huge window, through which the sunlight greeted me every morning. The fully equipped Kitchen had all the necessary to cook a hearty meal. By choice, I parked on the street, although I was offered other parking possibilities. Mrs. Habsiger spoke French and German, was a super host. She showed me different hiking trails and information about the region. Although mostly in French, there were some information also in German. When I hiked to Mount Saint Odilia, she walked with me to the entrance of the forest and explained to me how to go about. I found the trail without problem and even got rewarded with some chestnut trees, where I collected some for an evening snack. The town is about 15-20 minutes walking distance from the apartment. However, if you are a slow walker, it might take you longer. There is a Catholic Church, a butcher, and a small supermarket nearby. There are 31 different hiking trails in the region. There is a popular hike leading to Mount Saint Odilia, where visitors can also see her grave. You also get a fantastic panoramic view from this monastery. Whenever I am back in Ottrott, if the apartment is available, I will stay there.

Our stay in La Griffe was simply unforgettable. The location, atmosphere of the hotel and the town, walking access to the vineyards just few meters from the accommodation, care provided by the staff... La Griffe is also an excellent basepoint for discovering the Alsace region - part of the famous "La Route des Vins"; Alsace Wine Route.

Set on the Alsace Wine Route, l'Ecurie Obernai offers a large garden. It is just 2133 feet from Obernai Train Station and 19 mi west of Strasbourg. Obernai Christmas Market is 1312 feet away.

An outstanding location. On our first arrival, the urban address was a little off-putting for us, but inside the gated entrance (which is the correct entrance, not the door at the street address), the courtyard is landscaped and has a pool, an oasis of quiet from the street, and the facitlies are modern and very comfortable. We had a split-level unit, master and bath upstairs and toilet downstairs (other reviewers mentioned some problems with this, but, though not ideal, we did not find this an issue because the stairs were excellent, railings and even spacing, and safe surfaces). Living area downstairs was spacious, large window opening out to a terrace. The host is helpful, charming, but not intrusive, and the breakfast, in a comfortable, bright room, is generous and very, very good. Above all, the location of this
