We had a wonderful stay! Communication with the host was easy and smooth, and the check-in process went perfectly. The property itself was very nice, clean, and had everything we needed. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet — a perfect place to relax. The host is extremely kind and helpful. She even let us charge up our car for free on our last night, which we really appreciated. Everything felt very comfortable, and overall the stay was excellent value for money. Despite all of the problems we tried to make the most of it as we only had one evening in Hertford. Even though you have to pay an extra charge, it is good that the property accepts dogs. It is nice to have access to a pool table (as long as you aren't snobby about it being a little old and wonky which we weren't as it gave an excuse for why our shots weren't going in!) Also nice that coffee bags and ground coffee provided. Aside from the smell and the bad condition outside, inside the property was clean enough for our purposes.

In the pretty Hertfordshire village of Wadesmill, this beautifully preserved 17th-century coaching inn combines modern comforts with original features.

The receptionist Zoe was wonderful, helpful and very friendly. The housekeeping was very kind and polite and tended to any needs we had. Would love to return.
