This hotel is in a great location, so quiet and accessible from the M74. There is plenty of free parking. The Classic Scottish breakfast was freshly cooked with ingredients - delicious. The room was large and clean, with comfy beds. I heard nothing from the other residents, I thought I had gone deaf! The staff were great, friendly and helpfu.

On the banks of the loch in the grounds of the idyllic Strathclyde Country Park, Alona Hotel has a laid back atmosphere and a lovely restaurant.

The people are the #1. Everyone with a smile and willing to help you always. The Full Scottish breakfast delicious and other bites too. Warm atmosphere all around living with history attached plus modern parts like our suite with large impeccable bathrooms and everything. I have my wife and daughter staying at the Moorings another week and every year in Motherwell, Scotland.

Newly refurbished in 2019, Holiday Inn Express Strathclyde Park offers ample free parking and a continental buffet breakfast. The modern rooms feature power showers, satellite TV and work desks.

The fact I went into reception holding my daughters elves and when I asked if I could put them at the bar a staff member went above and beyond giving them and ice bath and message on the chalk board , my daughters face lit up when she saw them.. thanks so much xx
