The landlady had thought of everything and did lots of goodies in the bathroom and hot drinks and treats in the bedroom. Staff were excellent and in the morning the breakfast was very good, cooked to order. Our room was accessed by a winding route and up stairs, passing through the children's playroom. This was one of the best we've seen in a long time and looked to be a good way to entertain children while their parents were doing other things. We liked our room, which was beautifully presented. The breakfast was excellent. There were all the facilities that we needed and the bar/garden was well maintained and ideal for families and couples. I had long wanted to stay here and was not disappointed. The staff were all charming and helpful. The room was exactly as described, with a balcony and fantastic view over Rocquaine and a powerful shower. Dinner was delicious (crab and cod fishcakes) and the full English breakfast one of the best I have ever had. Nice vibe on the terrace. I paid about £115 b&b which is excellent value. We were over for a family funeral and had the wake there. It was perfect for our small gathering. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - the prepared the buffet, they booked out taxi from the airport and they were willing to help in any way. It made the day so much easier to deal with, knowing that we had the support of the hotel staff.
