It was a quiet facility, centrally located on the v island. Breakfast was ok. Private balcony was nice.

Fantastic studio apartment with separate bedroom, functional kitchen & bathroom and lovely balcony where an amazing breakfast was delivered everyday by the thoughtful and kind owner, Thodoris. Much thought has clearly gone into the design and realisation of this quite new property so it's easy to feel at home quickly, and nothing at all is missing. Bonus...3 minute walk to the most beautiful beach with crystal turquoise waters and white sand! Though we were a couple this would be ideal for a young family - dont be put off by Diakofti being the 'port' of the island - ferries are few and do not disrupt the peace here. Highly recommended!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Philoxenia, and we cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, owners and staff made us feel truly welcome, their warmth and genuine hospitality set the tone from the beginning for a wonderful stay. The facilities were spotless and very well maintained, while the rooms had a comfy, tastefully designed interior that made us feel instantly at home. Everything was sparkling clean, with great attention to detail that added to the sense of peace and relaxation. Breakfast was another highlight! Each morning we were treated to a delicious spread of homemade Greek specialties — fresh bread, local cheeses, and other traditional delights like original Greek yoghurt of high quality, the jams and sponge cake, were prepared with love from the owner. Philoxenia is more than just a place to stay; it’s an experience of genuine hospitality, comfort, and tradition. We are already looking forward to returning, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the island of Kythera ! Thank you for an amazing stay !

The hosts were excellent, very pleasant and ready to accommodate us with whatever we needed whether it was food recommendations, taxi services, etc. Further, the place was extremely clean and provided as a courtesy food and snacks in each room which we thought was a nice touch! Cleaning service came on a daily basis and made sure everything was spotless and tidy! Another plus was the beautiful views of the water and the ample parking which is so desperately needed in a small island. I would highly recommend this hotel to whomever wanted to come to Kithira!

This is a hidden gem in an outstanding location - close enough to walk to an impressive beach or take a short car ride to many others, while also tucked away on a serene hill by olive groves. Fenia, the host, was attentive, accommodative and very helpful during our stay (we ended up reserving the property one extra night even though our ferry was very late at night, just so that we could keep enjoying this amazing spot during the day, visit Kaladi beach and relax before our trip out of Kythira). I can't recommend this enough. We'll be back, Fenia - thanks again for everything!
