Starting from our free ride to the hotel from the port, Myconos Cactus Hotel made us feel the exquisite experience of the island even on a (relatively) budget trip for two nights. I d like to especially thank Taxiarchis for his kind welcome and introduction of the island during the ride. We also thank Nikos and Vasiliki for the information at reception as well as the bar staff for the fulfilling breakfasts. The hotel displays one of the rare green spots in the island with an elegant (almost) botanical garden of various cactus species surrounding a refreshing pool. The rooms are designed in the traditional Myconian housing style. Ours had a wide porch to relax. The room, sheets and towels were all very clean. The hotel is in a perfect location with walking distance to the Ornos beach. There is a public bus stop in 2 minutes walking distance. The bus takes about 10-15 minutes to downtown (I d recommend renting a car and not rely only on the public transport in the island though.) The hotel arranged a transfer service to the port when we checked out, also free of charge. Thanks again for the entire experience. I d highly recommend Myconos Cactus Hotel.
