Well, I work in tourism. El dragon hotel has a narrow driveway and I took my car down it. I shouldn't have. I should have asked first but I assumed that it's a driveway. It should be fine and took the car down. About half way down I regretted it. I damaged their fence and they were cool about everything. I know some people would have used the situation to get more money out of you but they didn't. It says a lot about them and I really appreciated it.

Absolutely GORGEOUS property! The views of the lake and the volcano were exceptional and all the glass windows looking out over it. The property was so lush and beautiful. The outdoor shower and bathtub were amazing with views that cannot be beat. The water pressure was amazing and the water got hot quickly. The bed was comfortable. Each morning, breakfast was delivered (eggs, bacon, waffles, beans) by the friendly staff (for an additional ~$6, which can't be beat!). They did have optional things you could add on (like massage or tours) which we did not do. They had free kayaks you could take out as well + staff which would deliver dinner you ordered in town for you. Overall, amazing property to relax at!

Gerson is building this beautiful ecletic paradise on earth on the shores of Lake Atitlan. Very friendly staff, picked me up from the centre of San Juan by quad and showed the town, and helped me join a worthwile Indian Nose sunset tour. As the place is quite new some facilities are still being built but the experience is 100% worth it. Very close to the town for all amenities (5 minute walk). I trust Gerson, his wife and the owner to make this one of the most memorable spots in Guatemala, beautifully nested between the farms and with great ways to enjoy the lake.

What a great experience staying here. Richard was a wonderful host. The boat rides to and from the city to pick up supplies or to go roam were my absolute favorite.w. The place was secluded, quiet, just immersed in nature. I stayed at various pueblos around the lake and they were all very loud. I came down with Dengue fever and Richard really helped me recover. Breakfast and dinners were quite good. The value of the place was great. Internet was good. Played some bball to get some exercise in.

The gardens surrounding this place are incredible. Additionally, the location is perfect. Close enough to walk to a couple places, but far enough to be quiet. Close by boat to Pana, but not noisy. Easy to catch a boat to other destinations.
