The Castle was located on a little island and the car ferry operates every 15 minutes. So it was convenient to get around. The Castle was well maintained great service and food was mainly grown on the grounds. A wonderful stay and would highly recommend!

From the minute we went to the reception desk we were greeted with a smile and warm welcome. Very professional and a pleasure to speak with. The room was large spotless and a beatifull view. We had Breakfeast and again professional and courteous service. We also had dinner and again just beautifull we had well done steak cooked to protection. We would reccomend the Woodlands to all. 5 stars from Michael Mercy and Nathan.

Lovely location, Excellent meals and a great Irish Breakfast. Staff could not be more accommodating. Would have stayed another night but unfortunately Hotel was booked out. Would definitely stay again.

The Haven is a gem of a period hotel overlooking the Dunmore East coastline with spectacular views from the front bedrooms, which I strongly recommend staying in. Our seaview room was jaw-droppingly beautiful, and we were allowed to access it much earlier than advertised. Big bonus points there. We didn't try the restaurant, as we had made plans to meet friends elsewhere, but judging by the delicious breakfast, we'll tick that box next time. PS the staff were brilliant and made our short stay all the more enjoyable.

Idyllic island getaway with access to a magical castle. Very private. Munster Dining superb! Mick took us shooting!! And we saw a wallaby!
