Lovely B&B, steeped in family history. The host, Pierre, was very gracious and was in touch with us from the day before. He met us in Arnad, and then led us up the mountain, a 20 min lovely drive to the accommodation, 1000 meters up. There we parked our car and he took our luggage up to the apartments. Our apartment was very roomy, excellently equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom and huge bedroom. All the amenities were provided, and the views are just breathtaking. The host told us the place belonged to his grandparents, and he used to spend his summers there. 50 years ago a researcher came there and took pictures of his grandparents and people of the village. The pictures are all on the walls . The breakfast was great, with local cheeses and sausages, a lovely lady making us eggs and hot beverages. Croissants and 3 different kinds of breads, various yogurts and juices. And a local cake. They explained that Arnad is famous for the local Lard, which was served with breakfast and was delicious. When we left again Pierre helped with the luggage and drove it all to our car. Great value for money. I can't wait to stay again! Advice: Prepare a small suitcase for the night so you don't need to carry all your luggage up steps. Also prepare to bring food for dinner, there are condiments and pots and pans in the kitchen, a mini fridge as well. There is no close by place to buy stuff or restaurant. In any case if there were any problem Pierre was available to help.

Everything new, very clean and cozy place. Easy contact with host - host extremaly helpful - Meggie spent an additional time to help us out when having problem with a car. Fully equipped kitchen. We spent a great time there and we hope to get back here again in future.

This is a magical spot in Carema. As a Sonoma County, California, USA resident it was fun to learn about this wine growing region in Italy. Staying on a property where grapes have been grown for 1350 years!? The views from the deck around the place are incredible!! We had lunch at the Gelateria Bar Fantasy and picked up for for dinner at a grocery store so we could enjoy our views!!
