Miramonte is rather an old hotel but it is so well maintained and clean! You cross the door step and it's like you travel back in time to the 1970s. In fact, the whole town center has a little retro feel, which I find very nice and soothing, if you just find the time to stop and look around. The hotel owner is a very hard-working nice lady, keeping the hotel very clean and maintaining its retro style very well! Breakfast was excellent with freshly baked cakes and espresso coffee. Excellent choice of food, no matter if you like salty or sweet breakfast. Parking space was ample and offering very easy access to the hotel. This hotel is an ideal place to stay for hikers, cyclists or motorcyclists. There are very nice winding roads around the mountain area and there are forests and trails to explore. There is a church on a hilltop nearby which is a nice hiking destination with many various trails around. The tourist information center in the town can provide all information about the area as well as the local spa. There are also amazing photography sceneries in the area, not just the river and mountains but for instance an abandoned concrete outdoor theatre which would make for fantastic black and white shots. I loved the place.

Very good place if you are traveling and stop by for 1 or 2 days for a holiday. Located near the border, you can stop here when you just entered the country, relax and move on. Nice rooms, nice pool, great breakfast. There is a restaurant, it needs to be reserved in advance. Highly recommend for families with children, you can spend the whole day in the pool

It was great to stay in a traditional home with such nice appointments. The beautiful floors made us want to tip toe carefully on them. The little village is quite picturesque. The amazing spring at the upper side of town was quite a sight.
