This is a beautiful property of exceptional quality. We were kindly upgraded to the classic suite which was so beautiful, everything about it was special. Each room is set in original caves which have been refurbished to the highest standard. Very comfortable bed. Centrally located near shops and restaurants. We enjoyed a welcome wine on arrival and the breakfast options were varied and exceptional. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

We loved everything. We got to know Maddalena who is very friendly, kind and generous. The place was well decorated and had everything you could think of. The location is very close to the center and to restaurants. Definitely will be coming back next time we visit Matera.

Communication with host leading to the stay was great. The hosts were very friendly and received us warmly and gave lots of useful information. The location was ideal for a family arriving by car because availability of easy parking in front of the Bed and Breakfast that is definitely a plus because it would be really challenging to find parking at Sassi. Going to Sassi involved an easy slightly downhill walk of about 15 to 20 minutes depending on your pace. The home made breakfast prepared by the host was plentiful and delicious.
