Great place with very cheap price considering all the services you get. Room and all the equipment are comfortable and very functional. What exceeded our expectations was the free barbecue dinner arrangement, where the hotel provided all the drinks, vegetables, rice, seasoning, grill, and all equipment for free! You only need to buy your own meat. At this price, I couldn't believe how much they offer to the customers.

It was a great value. For the rate I paid, the room was exceptionally clean, relatively spacious, and convenient. Plus a good breakfast buffet came with it for free. It was quite a sumptuous Japanese breakfast.

A great place to stay for a family. The area was nice and had a few dining and shopping options. The house was very clean and well cared for. The surrounding area was peaceful. The hosts do a great job providing information. It was about 40 min driving to either Mt Aso or Kumamoto. Overall a great stay in a scenic part of Japan.

The best accommodation for our trip in Japan. The house is very beautiful, well renovated with very good taste.Three toilets but only one bathroom.The owner and the staff are very kind and full of service mind. We have barbecue with karaoke , singing and dancing with the best audio equipment..The owner well prepared everything for our group including the heater on the floor. We all very appreciated for the hospitality, will come back again.

The facility is very new (recently just renovated). Excellent onsen (indoor and outdoor). The staffs are well trained and very friendly. The Japanese food was excellent! I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back again.

My family and I stayed at 4 different hotels during our 2 week trip to Japan, and this was the best! Koji and his wife (the owners) were very helpful with restaurant, onsen, and activity recommendations. The breakfasts were DELICIOUS!!! Check out my photos. I crave those breakfast everyday! There would fired bathtub is heavenly and I highly recommend asking Koji to get that going for you at least once while you’re there. It’s so relaxing. I love how comfortable the beds were and the aesthetic is beautiful. Koji basically built the house himself. All of the wooden window frames and the hemp walls are all made by him with his care and thoughtfulness. You can feel how much he cares about this space and I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and will go back the next time I in Kyushu.

The decorations of the guest house are amazing, I had a Japanese style room but very unique and beautiful. The food is very good and they offer a lot a different alcohol too. You can also cook your own food. Most important the owners are very sweet and helpful. They are very knowledgeable on what to do in Kumamoto too. There is also a good gym room, you can practice boxing with the locals on the right day and the other you can is it on your own. There are a lot of good restaurants around the guest house too. If I go back to Japan I definitely want to stay there again.
