If it were possible to give a higher rating than 5 I would, 10 sounds good. We were greeted by Shinoda-san and the service he provided was outstanding. We felt like special guests from the time we checked in to the time we checked out. Staff was outstanding, Facilities were outstanding. Lots of indoor and outdoor activities. We will definitely be back.

My partner and I loved the traditional dinner and breakfast that was served in our rooms, we weren’t expecting it and the woman who brought it to us was so sweet. We loved both the public and private onsen, and appreciated the women only hours. This was such a special experience and one of the highlights of our trip.

The hotel was definitely older but clean and well maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They even gave our kids some lollies when we arrived. The buffet dinner was amazing with lots of options and quality food. The sushi was fabulous and the kids loved the warm chocolate sauce with ice-cream and chocolate cake. The onsens were great and it was fabulous having the use of another hotel's onsen with both inside and outside onsens. We loved the traditional rooms, gowns and Japanese beds. The views were lovely too with all the greenery plus we could hear a waterfall.

Everything was lovely and good value for money. Food was great, breakfast and dinner was awesome. Check-in before 7pm. Staff was nice. The location was convenient near the heart of Hakone Yumoto.
