South AfricaWe stumbled upon this little gem as a pitstop on our drive from Windhoek and Luderitz. Upon arriving at our destination all my wife and friend could talk about was the "little hotel in Aus". I immediately cancelled the remainder of our time in Luderitz and booked the Bahnhof hotel and it remains a highlight of our holiday. As a hotelier of 19 years, every bit of this stay exceeded my expectations. All the small touches, especially the surprising turndown with a hot water bottle and handmade chocolate, exceeded what I assumed would be modest services in a small town hotel. The peace and staff were what makes this place, but one cannot ignore the general good maintenance and cleanliness.
