Quiet but short drive into town for food/shops. Breakfast was simple but filling. Host was friendly and welcoming.

The location is off the main streets so it's quiet and parking is easy. Very peaceful area. Bedrooms were upstairs via stairway. Proprietor carried bags up for us which was very nice. Had a welcome glass of wine and enjoyed the back garden area which has picnic tables and chairs. We also had an excellent breakfast in the garden in the morning. The kitchen/dining area is quite large, with multiple tables for guests. The bath/toilet area is shared, but has multiple toilets and showers, and there are multiple sink areas as well. It all worked out quite well. It was a lovely place to stay.

Surrounded by bushland Brookby Motel offers accommodations 5 minutes' walk from Thames shops, restaurants and cafes. Free car parking is available outside each room.

This property gets top ratings and it deserves them. The design and the amenities provided show great respect to the renters by the owners. It was the perfect place to spend our last night in NZ. Beautiful views from the large front deck and calm relaxing area in the back. We loved it.
