Family hotels and homes in Puno

The nicest family, always smiling and making our stay magical. We really enjoyed our 2 nights at the Utasa Lodge it was such a relaxing experience with wonderful views and the thick blankets kept us warm at night. And as an added bonus the kittens was a huge hit wit the kids. Thank you Raul and family for a lovely time.

Absolutely gorgeous space with unforgettable views. Nice home-cooked meals, very comfortable bed, you can borrow a kayak, great guided tour to learn all about how this unique village works. We loved our time here and could have spent much more than one night. Very kind and helpful family. Highly recommend!

This was the best memory of our family trip to Peru. It allowed us to taka a break from our hectic travelling and enjoy the low pace of the uros within the warmth of a family. From the pick-up to the warm arrival by our hosts, mama Leia was ready to make us feel at home. She cooked a delicious warm soup and warm bottles to heat the beds to sleep. The room looked like a regular hotel with comfortable bed, huge windows to enjoy the view of the lake and a bathroom with shower. The food home-made by mama Leia (our host) was nice and filling and most importantly made with so much love.  They family took us on a tour to learn about life at the uros and their traditions. We got plenty time to rest on the island enjoying the stunning scenery. It was time for our family to disconnect and was greatly welcomed.  We would definitely go back to this place ❤️ we promised we would.

The location was amazing. The hosts were exceptionally kind, helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious. Our room provided an amazing view. The tour around the lake organized by the host was very educational and interesting. We met local people and learned a few words on their language. The hosts answered all our requests. Everything was fabulous.

Cesar and his family were very friendly. The house had a beautiful view of the sunset and was furnished beautifully. Cesar took us around the islands, educated us on their culture, and let us experience some of their activities like fishing. The heated water bottles and the heaters in the rooms kept us warm at night. Lucy's cooking was delicious every meal.

The most attentive and kind, thoughtful hosts! Our bed was comfortable, our lunch was excellent, every detail was truly well thought out, right down to the warm water bottles brought to our room in the evening!

This is the most amazing stay! I highly highly recommend it. I am a solo female traveler and I booked the whole house for myself for 2 days. It was so beautiful out on the lake and so incredibly quiet and peaceful. This is a floating island that Jose made by himself! It's an incredible feat that he built and island then put three little houses on it. It's such a cool lifestyle to share in for a few days. Jose and Marie are both incredibly nice and accommodating hosts. They brought me 3 very delicious and generous meals a day and a hot water bottle at night to keep me warm as I lay on the outside bed (yes there's a super comfy bed on on the deck too!) and watched the moon and stars. They brought me hot tea water! I got a lot of writing and yoga done at this stay. Jose will definitely help you get a tour to the other islands but I preferred to stay and just rest after a month of traveling in Peru. This stay was a full nervous system reset for me. The house has huge floor to ceiling windows so you can see the lake all around you. Jesus and Marie live in a small house behind the rental and quietly come and go by boat during the day running errands. They also have two cute cats who share the island which I loved. The deck faces west for night views of Puno ( I watched them shooting off fireworks in town in the distance) and it's great for sunsets. I was there on the full moon and got to watch the moon set as the sun rose over the lake. Spectacularly gorgeous. Also Lake Titicaca is a deeply healing and spiritual energy and you will feel it when you are floating out there:) The beds are super comfy and warm. Hot shower works great. Book the larger, nicer stay for just a few dollars more because it's the complete package and seemed better than the other one there. The only plug ins are USB outlets so bring the right cords and you'll be fine. I had cell service out on the island and used that to check the internet occasionally.

This hotel is well-designed and comfortable. The staff provides excellent service and very attentive to the needs of the guests. The manager, Michael Edison was very helpful and gave a walking tour of the neighborhood and the nearby town of Puno.
