This is a truly unique place - I can't imagine a better place to stay when visiting the rice fields. The view is one of a kind, and while lodging is simple, the food is good, beds comfortable and even a hot shower! It's also close to the road so you don't need to walk far with your gear. The people are also super nice and so lovely.

First things first: Claire and Butch are the most friendly and warm hearted hosts that you can even imagine. Me and my wife, we travel a lot and we we have experienced some really good home stays, but, no where so far we have felt as much at home and so warmly welcomed like in Baleh Bobleh (the home in the village). The hosts are extremely child friendly and supported us in about anything. We have stayed in a traditional Ifugao Pole house, which however was equpped with amenities of modern times. Beds, room and bathroom really clean and the beautiful garden around our hut was like a little paradise. Claire is an excellent cook and we never felt that anything was lacking.

Great location, we had the traditional accommodation which suited our family and gave a great experience , staff all very accommodating even getting some items from the local shop for us that we forgot. We had a fantastic stay at Lhoren's Inn! The house faces the rice terraces and the view is amazing. All the family is extremely kind and helpful, they helped us to find a guide + cooked delicious meals. You can get there by public jeepney from Banaue ( some 20 min walk from the drop off point, nothing too bad). It's the perfect place if you want to relax and discover probably the most beautiful place in the Philippines :)

The view from the terrace is to die for! You enter the Guesthouse from the back side, get out on the terrace, and it's all revealed in front of you, this gigantic amphitheater of rice terraces with a backdrop of forest clad mountains, absolutely stunning. This is still rural Philippines, there's no road access. Everything got to be carried in. My room was better and more spacious than many budget rooms in the cities. Don't think the bedding is changed between each guest though, at least not the warm blanket , but I'm prepared and have everything. Clean common bathrooms with hot showers, but you have to bring everything else you need. There is no lock on the door, but I have a padlock as well. The food in the restaurant is incredibly good and made with love and care. The beers are ice cold. The set up of the terrace with all the decorations is so beautiful, I haven't got words really. There is no cellphone coverage, but paid for cheap WiFi, which can be good enough to watch a movie, or bearly working at all. And for those who are reluctant to book, because it doesn't say you can.....then, yes you can do it here. Nothing of the above is a negative thing to me as I wouldn't expect more.

The location is perfect.. especially the view of the spectacular Batad Rice Terraces itself. Really friendly locals. The hike to the Tappiya falls was awesome.
