This is my second time at Riverside. I have met a lot of international travelers and made many new friends here. Everyone that I have met here comes back here because we all feel like we are part of a family when we stay here. Call it a home stay or your family home in the Philippines and that is what it has become for me. The home made Filipino Fusion food is superb, the staff super attentive and Madame Macrina is the best host mother you will ever have. The location is close to beautiful beaches and attractions. The neighborhood is super safe along with great surrounding views and too put it simply the value for your stay is awesome.

We had such a lovely experience during our stay! The staff were warm, friendly, and very accommodating from start to finish. Our room was spacious at 60 sqm, spotless, and offered a stunning view of the beach—definitely a highlight for us. While enjoying the beach, one staff member kindly approached us and offered snorkeling goggles, and their lifeguard stayed nearby to watch over us due to the big waves. We truly appreciated the extra care and attention to our safety.

Highly recommend Galera Lodge! The staff were very friendly and our room was super comfortable. The food and drink at their cafe is delicious and it’s a great place to sit and do some work. They have lots of lovely animals and the hotel is in a great location for diving with Reef Haven - just a 5 min walk down the road.

Breathtaking views of the ocean and Batangas! Gayl and staff went above and beyond expectations to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay! Staff cleaned the pool daily and provided home-cooked meals (additional cost) directly to villa. Staff is onsite throughout the day with security at gate from 6p-6a. Highly recommend stay.

We enjoyed playing billiards with staff, Barako coffee at breakfast, Swedish meatballs (special order!) for dinner, the hike in the hills, the short walk down quiet back alleys to the beach. Would stay there again, no questions.

Everything was well-organized. We were met at the boat, giving an introductory briefing, shown our rooms and organized for diving in a few minutes. The staff did an outstanding job of greeting us, getting us settled and equipped. Our cohort of divers met for the first dive and it was wonderful - the great divemasters made me feel very confident and safe. The restaurant is very nice - great food and great staff. Wonderful breakfast and some nice craft beers too! I was a solo traveler. but felt very welcome here.

The staff is the most amazing crew I have ever seen at a hotel. All the crew was super friendly and attentive, I had great talks with Ron, one of the waiters, as well as with the divecrew. I am grateful to Rex, the manager of the dive center, for planning exceptional trips as well as to our divemaster, Leo, who was super careful to show us every bit of marine life and make the dive a memorable one. In conclusion, if you are looking for new friends, gigantic, colourful and healthy reefs (even the house reef is so), efficient program and chill time, Scandi can offer the most in my opinion, I sincerely recommend it!

I love how attentive and welcoming all the staff was. They were always helpful with my luggage or anything we needed even though. They didn’t have a phone in the room, but very fast at communicating via booking.com. I love the boat shuttle service to the port, very helpful. They also offer water sport services if you have no plans, they have everything.

A good location for a stress-free holiday in Puerto Galera, Sandstorm Lodge and Cafe is an apartment surrounded by views of the inner courtyard.
