It is the perfect place for a family stay. The house had everything we needed to cook the food, both inside and outside. It is a quite place with a fantastic view over the vineyards and the river. Our kid enjoyed the pool area, especially when the lovely donkey Nikita came by :) The territory is well kept and the staff is polite (and even easy and interesting to speak with even if you don't speak Portuguese). Everything was beautiful! It’s a 800 year old building but in pristine and very chique furniture & design. It has recent expansion and it is top quality walls, bedroom & bathroom. The view from rooms, lounge, patio, pool, and dining room is pristine like a painting. The owner and those that work there are incredibly friendly, kind & accommodating. We felt like they were family’s The dinner, wine & desserts were top of the line. I highly recommend the place and if ever visiting Portugal, will stay again!

There's really nothing to complain about and the staff (especially Ana and Sarah) are definitely going all the way to make you enjoy your stay. We joined a local wine maker and her team harvesting the grapes and we enjoyed every bit of it. Doing the grape stomping at the end of the day was another enjoyable experience. No commercial tour can beat this, all thanks to the local staff who helped making arrangements. The hotel provides a good breakfast with wonderful views and offers 2 choices for dinner all at a reasonable price.

Boutique hotel, so they personally take care of you. It feels like you are staying in a beautiful country home. The grounds and pool are very well taken care of and beautiful. Our room was very clean and modern. Our kitchen in our room was big enough for us to prepare meals. They provided the best breakfast we have had in Portugal. The chef personally makes your breakfast for each individual family. 30 mins to Porto. Perfect day trip. Grocery store, bread truck, seafood store and bakery a 5 min drive away.
