We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Quinta da Fortaleza is surrounded by nature typical of the northern Alentejo region, including olive groves and cultivated cork oak woodlands, which give the place a special vibe. I spotted many different wild bird species on the property, as well as other interesting local fauna and flora. It is a very quiet place and perfect for disconnecting from daily life for a while. Mr. João is a very friendly host who takes great care of his property. Breakfast was also very good. We hope to come back one day! :)

Charming property with private rooms and nice area to sit outside. Breakfast was one of the best we had in Portugal and we also purchased delicious home cooked dinner from Adelaide. This is located in the beautiful countryside but only 10 minutes drive from Elvas.

Great location, less than a 2 minute walk to the main square on a quiet walking lane. Receptionist, Teresa, is very nice and helpful. My room was very nice, spotlessly clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. TV with many channels and mini fridge. Great bathroom too. I really enjoyed staying here and highly recommend this hotel.
