Large room overlooking the pool. Secure gated parking. Good breakfast with made to order eggs. TV had lots of English channels. Huge bathroom with large new bathtub. In fact, the whole house seemed to be newly constructed or recently renovated. Everything modern and clean. The pool area is inviting but it happened to be raining the day I was there. The location is between the Roman site and the pousada Palace. Otherwise, not too much in town, but a good stopping place to enjoy a highly rated accommodation.

The place is incredibly clean and beautifully traditionally furnished. The staff are unbelievably gracious, and it’s in the heart of town across from the main church, and a quick walk to both the Roman ruins, and Palacio Estoi.
