hard to describe everything we experienced here in just a few words the hosts were very welcoming, caring, trying their best to go out of their way for our little daughter and us the restaurant they have also has quite a variety of choices and the food was always very good as well as the mojitos I took the cat on-site made our little one joyful and we "chased" after her the moto scooters that one can rent were conve nient no beach nearby but in 5-7 min on scooter one can easily reach a beach the garden is so lovely arranged the room spotless clean the prices fair (we booked only the stay through booking)

High season provided seamless transfer services with songthaew at the pier. The breakfast spread was extensive and delicious. The beachfront villa we stayed in had an outdoor pavilion perfect for watching the sunset. The hotel staff were incredibly attentive, especially Jay, who organized our activities, and Nam, Prea, and Bam, all made our vacation truly enjoyable.

I tend not to believe the ratings of places when they're this high... but this one deserves it, and more. The place is just stunning - located on a very small hill that looks on the sea, in a beautiful park with coconut trees, flower and plants of all kinds, perfectly tended to. Breakfast is excellent and plentiful, with lots of options. The bungalow was huge, and in perfect state. Bed is super comfortable. There's both AC and a fan. Lots of space to store your clothes and stuff, and a small fridge. Water and soft drinks are provided and replenished every day. You can also get water for free from the 2 bars next to the small beaches they have. Swimming pool is stunning and well kept, like everything else in this small piece of heaven. There's a bar close to it with lovely little wooden platforms on top of the shore, where you can enjoy a cocktail and look at the sunset (sunsets are stunning there!) Shantaa is just the ultimate place if you're looking for somewhere you can disconnect and relax. They could have built twice or thrice as much as they have, but they kept it sparsely developed so you feel you're walking around in your own personal tropical paradise. Let me state it again - this place is perfection. If you had any doubts about your stay in Koh Kood, I hope I cleared them out :) just book here and you won't be disappointed. We have seen pretty much all of the island by motorbike and we looked at the resorts, there's nothing that compares to Shantaa quality wise on the island.

We visited several other resorts via scooter on the island and came to the conclusion we choose the best resort. Paradise beach has its own strip of private beach with amazing views, excellent swimming, swings, a hammock and several comfortable lawn chairs for lounging. The pool is also really refreshing. The kayaking is free for the first hour, which was perfect. The restaurant serves a delicious variety of Thai and Western food. We were able to rent scooters directly from the resort for very cheap. My husband and father appreciated the breakfast that was included every morning. The staff were extremely professional and helpful and assisted us with getting booking a ferry back to Trat. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly as it is the family business. The family knows the place best, so basically they take care of everything sincerely and at its best. It was an impressive stay. The place is located on the central of the island and it was easy to go out and find something to eat whether to the north or south. Super good time during the sunset hour.

We had the best staff experience ever...we came on the island with our 12 month old baby not knowing what to expect since it was our first big trip with baby on sandy beach island...in 12 nights that we spent on the island the staff became so friendly with our boy that he started crying once we left the island since those were his new best friends..as a memory he took home toy gifts that staff bought him for his 1st birthday..if we ever visit Koh Kood again we only wish all the same staff will be still working there..
