Beautiful room, clean and comfortable. Nice, well maintained facility, great breakfast and dinner buffet with live band performance 6:30-7:30 pm! Easy walk to the entrance of the forest park. Staffs are always friendly. Offers (paid, not free) shuttle services to the Taichung high speed rail station. It is very convenient and cost effective - no need to rent a car to drive up the mountain.

Unlike 95% of hotels and BnBs in Taiwan, this one had a pillow that was not huge and rock hard! Also, it was a nice spot outside of the city center. It didn't have a huge mold problem like many places in Taiwan. The hot water worked... um... that's about it.
