I stayed at Shodlik Guesthouse for two nights, and I truly enjoyed my stay. The location couldn’t be better. The guesthouse is inside Ichan Kala, which gives you the unique opportunity to explore it at any time of day, especially early mornings or late evenings, when it’s peaceful and perfect for photography. Even attractions outside, like Nurullaboy Palace, are close by. Plus, you’ll find banks for currency exchange and plenty of restaurants both inside and outside the area. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming. They greeted us warmly and kindly allowed us an early check-in, and because our room wasn’t ready at that time, they offered us another one to rest in until it was prepared. I booked a Deluxe Double Room, which was spacious and very clean. The room was large, the bed was super comfortable, and the whole place was very quiet – perfect for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was tasty and varied, with everything you need to start the day energized. The Wi-Fi connection was also reliable. Thanks Shodlik Guesthouse team for making my stay so enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Khiva!

The hospitality was fantastic--everyone was so helpful and kind. We loved the breakfasts which were included, and ended up ordering dinner for each night of our stay, too; it was delicious and varied, and great value for the price. Very nice common areas both inside and out, and a fantastic location at the gates of the old city.
