Everything. Everything was great. The room was spacious. We had one of the most incredible views you'll see overlooking the river - a few animals also could be seen late afternoon visiting the river. The staff were incredible and very accommodating - excellent service. We also took a sunset game drive that was incredible and informative - we saw zebra, bontebok, buffaloes, monkeys, giraffes and plenty warthog, among other animals. The whole experience and place was even better than we thought. Super quiet. Super refreshing.

The 5-star Pumba Private Game Reserve lodge has views from a private wooden deck overlooking Lake Kariega or the African bush.

everything was PERFECT! the place is beautiful!!! the rooms, the service, the food, the main area, and of course the drive games!!! we saw all the animals, and we had the best ranger Clio, he was so informative, so fun, he made sure we see everything we wanted and enjoy! the entire staff was amazing! really we had the BEST experience

Big high five to the Mimosa Guest House in Makhanda, my base of operations (along with a herd of cows outside) during the RU120 visit to Makhanda. Very comfortable historic home in a lush garden setting with inviting charcoal pool. Temperatures required regular immersions and poolside lounging. Woke up to the caterwauling of the Hadada Ibis in the trees each morning. Enjoyed meals at Major Fraser's across the street from Drostdy Arch. They have superb pizzas that are wood-fired oven-cooked.

Easy in and out. Very comfortable, nice host, and good neighborhood. Very close to town and coffeeshops. It’s was really quiet and I had a great night’s sleep.
