Just for sevice alone I would give a 10. Something went wrong with the booking, so when we arrived our reservation was not in the system. But they went out of their way to help us and managed to get us one of the last available rooms. Lovely people! The room was clean, comfortable and had an amazing view. Good location to discover Oban, and for trips in the area. Easy parking, which is always a plus.

Offering free WiFi and free private parking, Gowanlea Heights is situated in Campbeltown, just 900 yards from Mitchell's Glengyle distillery. Everything was quality. Great parking, lots of room and everything had been given much attention to detail. The breakfast was exceptional.

We arrived late and had dinner in the pub/restaurant. The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

It is the best place we stayed in Scotland (by far) and one of the best I have ever stayed in ! We felt very welcomed and at ease, the place is huge, comfy and absolutly beautiful, the equipement is great and the breakfast amazing ! Thanks and congrats !
