I picked Shergaon because, well, peace is priceless. And speaking of priceless (but totally affordable), Zen Resort Shergaon was my top choice—and boy, did it deliver! Tucked away in Lungkhar Village, right off NH-13 (strategically placed opposite an Indian Oil petrol pump, because even your car deserves a break), this place is a hidden gem. The owner clearly has a PhD in hospitality, and the staff? Let’s just say they’d win gold in the “Make-You-Feel-At-Home” championship. The food was nothing short of excellent—so good that I briefly considered extending my stay just for another meal. They welcomed us with warmth and bid us farewell like royalty, which made leaving that much harder. The rooms? Spacious, comfy, and packed with all the amenities you’d need. But the real showstopper? The morning walk down to the river. If tranquility had a home, this would be its backyard. It was so peaceful, even my city-stressed soul felt rejuvenated. Long story short: If you’re passing through Shergaon, Zen Resort isn’t just an option—it’s THE option.

We (4 family members) booked this campsite for a 2-night stay for our Arunachal Pradesh trip. However, due to some constraints, we spent only 1 night. The cordial owner helped and guided us to overcome the constraint. It is very close to Parashuram Kund, just on the bank of the Lohit River. We observe the Lohit bridge from Parashuram Kund and the Beyond Brahmaputra Campsite. This campsite, covering a large area, is ideal for any adventurous traveler. We walked on the well-rounded pebbles and boulders of the Lohit during the evening and the early morning. Many seating places with wooden chairs are available in different places of the campsite. The campfire option gave us an extra flavour for our trip. Foods are excellent. The staff are very cordial and helpful. I suggest spending a new moon night in the clear sky to watch the stars and Milky Way Galaxy. The dark, windy night gave us full enjoyment of loneliness and isolation from society. We want to spend more nights here in the future.
