A shuttle service is available to Funchal Airport, 30 km away. São Jorge Beach is 3 km away. Staying in Casa das Proteas was an amazing experience. The view is absolutely stunning, the breakfast is very tasty and Teresa is super kind and helpful. We will definitely come back:)

The design of the hotel is fantastic! The rooms are beautiful and clean, thanks to housekeeping twice a day! Thanks for the little attention on our pillows ;) Charles and his bold collegue (don’t know his name, sorry) at the reception are doing an amazing job. And last but not least Jorge, responsable for breakfast, runs from left to right to make sure everybody is happy and presentation of the food is up to standard. He was very helpfull to us and our baby! Congrats to the entire The Vine staff.

The room was comfortable and we just couldn’t get over the view from the rooftop infinity pool! Great spa facilities and the restaurant has lovely food. Well worth a stay if you’re looking to unwind in a stunning location. Seixal beach and the natural pools are a stone’s throw away. We didn’t want to leave!

There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Property was clean and we had a really beautiful view. The owners were very nice and helpful. The spot is in a perfect area in Funchal, didn’t even need a car because a lot of things were only a short walk away.
