For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Peaceful, rural location and ideal for a lovely walk to Lyme Regis and buses back. Also convenient for driving to Seaton and Beer. Cosy, warm studio with nice decor, good size ensuite bathroom and lovely patchwork covers. Thank you to John for encouraging us to stay another night and for keeping in touch via WhatsApp in a caring, friendly way.
Meadow Barn is a delightful little property tucked down a quiet country road, with good access to the B-road. Although not far from the main property and another holiday let, you are not overlooked. The views from the property are stunning and you can feel you really are close to nature. The facilities are great inside and out, with the kitchen having all you need for the time you’re there. Hugo and Alice are attentive when needed but not intrusive. Definitely recommend staying at Meadow Barn!
A lovely, cute a quirky accommodation with all the facilities we needed plus some thoughtful extra touches. Sarah was friendly and helpful and we loved admiring the views and watching the animals and workings of the farm.
The Barn was spacious, well kept, beautifully decorated, had quality fixtures and fittings and the bed was very comfortable. The flowers, the eggs and bread were also much appreciated. The hosts Alice and Hugo were very helpful, always cheerful and available if required. It was in a very beautiful, rural spot, within a few miles of a major road between Devon and Dorset, so great for sightseeing and walking.
There was no breakfast.
The hut looked beautiful and was kitted out with everything you could think of for a comfortable stay.
The location in a field a short distance from the farmhouse allows for peace and privacy without feeling isolated.
Jayne and Carl were friendly, welcoming hosts. The decor was elegant and we appreciated all of the finishing touches. The bed was very comfortable and the room was bright and spacious. Gorgeous bathroom which was spotless. A quintessential, charming English farm house with beautiful land. Breakfast was delicious; loved that the apple juice was pressed on site and the eggs were from hens on their farm. I stayed with a friend but would love to return with my husband.
Beautiful farmhouse excellent hosts, amazing breakfast, comfy bed and lovely room with large shower. Nice extra touches with welcome treat and bathrobes.
Warm friendly welcome. Beautiful farm house and the breakfast was tasty! Beautiful views from our window, large bathroom. Honestly the owners are so lovely... We even had carrot cake in put room!!! Cold water in a fridge... Tea, coffee. Could not fault it. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Perfect ❤️
