For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Location was perfect and the Barn Rooms of a high standard. The team were excellent and Katrina went out of her way to be helpful and welcoming. Always nice to come back to a log fire on a wet and windy day.
Well located, easy to find. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Food is lovely. Room was comfy but I found it noisy (to be fair I live in a very rural location so am unused to road noise and other people). My only real bugbear was a constant background hum all night which kept me awake. I assumed this was an extractor fan left on but a bit of investigation in the morning suggested it was the radiators in the hallway outside my room. Otherwise, a lovely place to stay
The rustic charm of the place. Lovely location in perfect setting. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant throughout our stay. Tweedies bar is a great place to unwind.
Fabulous location, staff and restaurant! Modern decor with a rustic vibe was lovely. The rooms were comfortable and super clean with a lovely view. The staff were so helpful and friendly and would go out their way to help you with any requirements. The 1769 bar was great fun with lovely food and breakfast included was also great value!
The property was in a lovely location and was rustic which is what we love. It has lovely large rooms which were great for the dogs. There were plenty of dog friendly areas too which was a bonus.
The rustic, cosy feel.
Lovely, friendly and attentive staff.
Restaurant had great ambience and great food with a really good choice.
Location was excellent with scenic views all around.
Was a bit worried being so close to the road, but it was completely silent during the night.
