For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!

It felt so homely!! Its truly a farm indeed. The home interior was super rustic, but I loved it. I heard jiji build this himself too! And all the food bachan cooked were lovely and humble ☺️ i love how they called me “onee-san” while i was there too. Jiji is also the funniest grandpa ive ever met 😂 even though he spoke little english and i spoke little japanese, we were still able to have good conversations with a little patience 🥰 i would love to come back and visit everyone!!

The wild, rural location was fantastic. The host, Nonoka, is incredibly friendly and generous. During my stay - eating with the family and being on the farm - I was able to experience authentic Okinawan life. The family accommodated my vegetarian diet and cooked me some lovely meals, for a reasonable price.
