It was our third time and again, we were surprised by the magic, service and quality of the greater Boschendal accommodation and Retreat Cottages. Not to forget the staff like Star and Anele who have made our stay outstanding. We had an incredible time and will definitely be back.

We stayed in a 40' container. The farm setting is very nice. We had views of the farm, animals, vineyards, and surrounding mountains. Pigcasso is a monumental animal we'll never forget. We saw the Franschhoek mountain sign from our rooftop terrace.

Tim is a wonderful host and his enthusiasm for people shows through in the details of the property: the cottage was perfectly clean and tidy with all the amenities that make for a perfect stay, whether overnight of for several days. He also gave us plenty of information (out of his restaurant recommendations we picked one and ended up having a memorable dinner at Eleven restaurant in Franschhoek). The cottae is in a very quiet and green setting and has a next-door nature reserve walk. It has the rustic feel of a cottage with all the modern comforts, beautiful kitchen with modern appliances, fire stove, comfortable mattresses, and plenty of pillows. Don't forget to buy one or more jars of their wonderful lemon marmalade.

Overall a good experience. The estate is outside franschoek, BUT very conveniently located to get to Franschoek and the other surrounding wine estates. There may be no oven or stove but they do provide a small gas stove with some pots and a pan.

The barn loft is truly incredible! Aside from the amazing, luxurious, quirky, design forward accommodation.. The farm animals are super sweet and friendly. We were so sad to leave this dream of a place and hope to return again. This accommodation would be perfect for a honeymoon or special trip.

Located among vineyards, the Vrede en Lust manor house dates back to 1688 and has been converted into elegant cottages with open fireplaces. The extensive gardens include an outdoor pool.

Beautiful Estate, our accommodation was in perfect location minutes away from the restaurant. The lodge was very cute and perfect for our family. The food was extremely good also. We had a complimentary wine tasting which was a nice surprise 🤩 We will be back 🤩
