Very clean and very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast is exceptional. Staff did not speak English but were very helpful and we communicated through translation by various apps. I very much enjoyed my stay here. They also placed 4 bottles of water in my room everyday which was great too. Provided slippers. The neighbourhood is nice and very peaceful, the black out curtains work very well. Bed is comfortable. Very quiet. I hadn’t slept all night post flight and had a very good sleep. There is a very nice, big park nearby and two large shopping malls that I found to be the best that I saw in Beijing - they had a lot to offer and at very good prices. Near the station.

Yes, yes... all the good things said about the Orchid Hotel in other reviews are accurate: clean, cute, well located, and the pleasant and helpful staff. As to the negative things... well, it is a collection of renovated hutong buildings so there'll be some unexpected ones, but those are just a part of the overall experience. Super hotel to stay at when in Beijing.

The hotel was exactly as described, the room was comfortable, it had an AC that worked great, and there was a TV we could use. The staff was incredibly nice, they tried their best to help us in any way they could. The hotel has a working washing-machine+dryer, but underwear can't be washed, so make sure you pack enough of them. The nearby supermarket has tide pods, that smell really good, and are packed 6 pcs in a bag. The hotel is pretty close to everything you could need. There is a bus stop and a metro station that's close, and is walking distance. A little bit further away (about a km) is a supermarket, which is located on the corner of Annei ave. A bit hard to spot, look out for the shopping carts. Drum tower+Bell tower, Shichahai, Lama temple all walking distance. The lakes are a good spot at night. The neighborhood has some stacked souvenir stores, for moderately cheap. A lot of food stalls, so you won't go hungry.
